The Acorg search
system lets it's basic members choose which pages they would like
included in the search engine. By clicking on the "Edit Index
Web Page Link" on the members home page, you go directly to
a page listing all of your indexed pages. You can delete a page
from the index by clicking on the "Delete" link directly
after the URL of the page. If you still have page space in the index,
an "Add Website Page" option will be available. If you
click on that link, you can add the address of a page you would
like included in the search index.
It is possible
that our system will keep replacing a page that you have deleted
in the past. Our crawler tries to fill all of the space available
to your account and will add back a page unless told not to. The
crawler does obey the Robot.txt protocol so you may add entries
to that file so future attempts index your site properly.
All changes
made on the site are update in the main database immediately. Changes
to the search indexes occur when they are refreshed, usually nightly.
